The Evening Standard's Tottenham bias
All papers have their pets likes and dislikes, I have long time thought London's premier rag was reasonably fair until we won the race for the O/S

From that moment we represented a serious challenge to Tottenham and perhaps, in time, to Arsenal and Chelsea.

The smears and outpouring of jealousy over the O/S in the Standard and the BBC, bastions it would seem of the Yiddo medja have been borderline hysterical.

The back page banner headline in yesterdays Standard though, takes the biscuit,

OFFICiaL - Spurs will be London's biggest club!!

they will have 1,000 more seats than Arsenal (Who have 18,000 more seats than Chelski yet the blues are officially a bigger club)

I don't know whether its time to can the standard, but, as a cavalier, there seems little point in reading its sports section...

They binned him ages ago, then let him back for a couple of guest slots a couple of years back where he once again proved he was the best thing about the paper.

Port Vale and Charlton both used to have enormous grounds.

Both have never been big clubs.

I hadn't noticed, but then I've been able to screen out anything to do with Tottenham for most of my life. Can't wait for the BFS Friday column tomorrow.

Re: The Evening Standard's Tottenham bias
The Evening Standard is a great newspaper if you want at least two stories a day about Cara Delevinge, want to know what Prince Harry's mates got upto last night at some art gallery/ club opening, want to by a £2 million house in Chiswick or want to know what some recent Oxbridge graduate's views are on foreign/ defence/ health policy despite the fact they know fuck all about anything.

The Evening Standard has been for years the best newspaper to contain no news. It's shit. I haven't picked up a copy in years.. and to think that people actually paid for that drivel.

Even if we filled it once it would still be good to see in the record books that our highest attendance is 70, odd thousand instead of the embarrassing 42, 000.
